1. About Us

EM Studio Belfast is operated by a sole trader trading as EM Studio Belfast, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

We provide:

  • Brow and beauty services
  • Professional beauty training (in-person and online)

2. Bookings & Payments

2.1 Booking Confirmation

All bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.

2.2 Payment Options

We offer the following payment options:

  • Deposit Payment (amount varies depending on the course)
  • Full Payment upfront

Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
We may also offer Klarna as a third-party payment provider.

2.3 Deposits

  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances
  • Deposits secure your place on a training course or appointment
  • By paying a deposit, you agree to these Terms

2.4 Remaining Balance

Where a deposit is paid:

  • Stripe will only charge the deposit at the time of booking
  • The remaining balance is payable in cash on the day of training
  • Please bring the remaining balance with you to your scheduled training session
  • Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation of your booking.

3. Refunds

All payments made to EM Studio Belfast are strictly non-refundable.

This includes:

  • Deposits
  • Full payments
  • Missed appointments or training

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

4.1 Training Courses

  • You may request to reschedule your training at least 20 days before the training date
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested via email
  • If less than 20 days’ notice is given:
    👉 the booking will be forfeited and no refund will be issued

4.2 Beauty Appointments

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance can be done free of charge via the booking system
  • Cancellations within 48 hours or failure to attend (no-show) will result in full charge

5. No-Shows

Failure to attend your appointment or training session will result in:

  • ❌ Full payment being retained
  • ❌ No refund or rescheduling offered

6. Trainer Cancellation

In the unlikely event that EM Studio Belfast must cancel:

You will be offered:

  • A full refund, OR
  • The option to reschedule to a future date

7. Certification

All certificates issued are:

  • Internal certificates from EM Studio Belfast
  • Not officially accredited unless otherwise stated

8. Liability

By booking any service or training, you acknowledge that:

  • You participate at your own risk
  • EM Studio Belfast is not liable for any injuries, reactions, or damages arising from treatments or training
  • It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities

9. Professional Responsibility (Training)

Students are responsible for:

  • Practising safely and professionally
  • Obtaining appropriate insurance before working on clients
  • Complying with local regulations in their country

EM Studio Belfast is not responsible for how training is used after completion.

10. Use of Third-Party Providers

We use trusted third-party providers including:

  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Klarna (payment options)

These providers have their own terms and policies.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland / United Kingdom.
